Children’s Adoration

Introducing Eucharistic Adoration to children is very important in their spiritual formation, and most beneficial when practised from a very young age.

Eucharistic Adoration brings the children into direct contact and relationship with Jesus, the One they are learning about from their family, at school or in Catechism class. Time spent in the presence of Jesus consolidates in them belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, which is central to our Faith.

Once Jesus is encountered at the level of their spirit, they will never forget the experience or lose touch with Him. This will help them immensely in their lives – to live in peace and harmony with the world. When they spend regular time with God, they develop a most important sense and that is spiritual awareness. In the silent time of adoration they will receive the ability to recognise God’s tremendous love for themselves personally, and can see how He is answering their prayers. They will recognise Him being active in every part of their lives, and begin to see Him reflected in the flowers, trees, wind, animals, sunshine, ocean and especially in family and friends.
