Testimony of Elinor

Hello, my name is Elinor, I am 18 years old and have just graduated year 12.

For me Adoration is heaven on earth, since God is heaven and God is truly
present in the Blessed Sacrament. Everyone who is in heaven is perfectly
united to God, so this means that when we go to Adoration, all of the angels
and the saints are also present as they are united in Christ.  No wonder
Blessed Imelda died of joy when she was finally allowed to receive First Holy
Communion!

When I go to Adoration, I always bring my rosary beads as Jesus came to us
through the Blessed Virgin, we will become closer to Him if we go to Him
through our Mother. My favourite thing to do is to kneel before Him and simply
be in His presence. It is important to listen to what He has to say, as He does
speak to us in the silence of our heart. The Eucharist is the fullness of His love
and proof of His never ending love for us. When I spend time at the feet of Our
Lord in adoration, I always leave with peace and joy and the weight of any
burdens seems to be much lighter as He takes care of them.

Some of my friends go to Mass and Adoration every day before school. They
are normal teenagers, they love playing sports and are always ready to joke
around and have a laugh. The only difference is they have a great love for
God. The proof of their love is seen in their actions. It is always so inspiring to
see them making sacrifices for others with joy that they get to serve Our Lord
through their neighbour.  You can really see the effects of the graces they are
receiving in Adoration. They radiate a joy and a peace which only Our Lord
Jesus Christ can give.

Do not be afraid to come to Jesus. He says to us; “come to me all you who are
weary and burdened and I will give you rest”.  I encourage you all to respond
to Our Lord’s invitation to come to Him. He waits for you with His arms wide
open and His heart longs to be loved by you in return. May Our Blessed
Mother be always with you, that she may bring you close to the Heart of Her
Son, Jesus.
