Testimony of Jo-Anne
Eucharistic Adoration is a source of consolation for me. I have brought each problem to our
Lord in Adoration. He has either helped me to get rid of the problem or He has given me the
strength to face the problem, and then I would later learn that the problem itself actually
helped me to build on my endurance and helped me become steadfast in my faith. He has
made me aware that the trials and challenges in life have made me into the person I am today.
During my first visits to Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration, I pleaded to Jesus to show me His
presence in the host. I asked Him to increase my faith and over time my faith in the presence
of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament increased. I have the confidence to communicate to Jesus
in Eucharistic Adoration about anything, and I wait to see what He wants to communicate
back to me within my heart. As I adore Jesus, and as I plead for help, the Holy Spirit enters
my heart and thoughts and then I experience a deep peace and consolation.
I have overcome a lot of fears and trials by attending Eucharistic Adoration. God has helped
me to process various traumatic events in my life. He has helped me to forgive those who
have injured me in some way or another. I do not believe I would be capable of showing such
love and forgiveness if I did not give my time in adoring Jesus in the Eucharistic Adoration.
When dedicating an hour to our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration, I find that time to escape the
business of life, and I allow God to work within my soul. Eucharistic Adoration helps me to
develop a strong connection or relationship with my Lord and creator, and the fruits of this
relationship are peace, joy, hope and love.
