A single income by choice and migrating in January 1990 to avoid violence and war, from Sri Lanka was another faith filled journey. Since we started spending time with Lord in Adoration (twice a week), our daily mass and receiving the Eucharist has taken a new meaning.

At first I felt uneasy about how I was going to fill in a whole hour, so I started with the prayer I was familiar with, the Rosary! I was grateful that I had time to pray the Rosary, using Scripture references to help me think of the Mysteries without rushing through the decades! I bring to the chapel my Adoration Bag with my folder of favorite prayers.

For me Adoration is heaven on earth, since God is heaven and God is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. Everyone who is in heaven is perfectly united to God, so this means that when we go to Adoration, all of the angels and the saints are also present as they are united in Christ.

For Fr Martin Aye Ngwe, his life is nothing short of a miracle. Just over 12 months after he was diagnosed with stage four terminal lung cancer, Fr Martin has been given the all-clear from his doctors to return to full time ministry.

 At 15 I walked away from my faith and from the Church. In my young adult years I was anti religion I was anti the Catholic Church, and I made many bad decisions, living a life that offended God. I often felt alone.

Eucharistic Adoration is a source of consolation for me. I have brought each problem to our Lord in Adoration. He has either helped me to get rid of the problem or He has given me the strength to face the problem, and then I would later learn that the problem itself actually helped me to build on my endurance and helped me become steadfast in my faith.
